Hello Adam. I am impressed by your discovery about the different compositions of nuts and how companies have customized their products to fit the customers’ markets. Moreover, it took your interest and love for pistachios nuts to get to do further research which is very impressive. Further, I agree with your observation that a randomized sample may fail to represent the various grades and sexes that compose the school (Singh, & Masuku, 2014). This is due to skewed representation. To overcome the challenge posed by random sampling, use of stratified sampling as pointed out by you is very correct. This is because the strata can be made based on two criteria namely the sex of the students in school and the individual students’ grade hence facilitating the development of a more representative sample. The population can be considered as the total number of the participants in the study from which a small fraction thought to be representative is picked to give the population sample for purpose of statistical analysis.

Hello Vikki. I am greatly impressed by your career background as a yoga and Pilates teacher and the current course you are pursuing to change your career path. Moreover, I am greatly impressed by your ability to integrate statistics in your diverse fields to help you to become a smart worker. For example, in Manhattan Yoga Studio you point out that statistics helped you understand clientele habits, class retention, popularity, and the right time for classes. Sampling is a technique in which a small part of the population is taken for a particular study as a representative of the whole population (Singh, & Masuku, 2014). As such, the sample taken can be either a good or bad sample. In the current situation, the population under the study includes the students in grades 9, 10, 11, and 12 who are being considered for the movie classes.
Therefore, for the principal to get the best review for the movie selected for watching by the students, she needs to get a sample that is more representative of the group formation and interest. Thus, a good sample will be taken using structured random sampling (Falorsi, Righi, & Lavallée, 2019). This sample will use the weight of each grade weight against the entire school weight that will be selected randomly. Then the selected participants may be thosec Tornado Cash who have experience in watching movies making them easily share their views on the best movie also using the level of their ability to comprehend the movie content based on academic grade. A bad sample may be using a random sample that may be picked from the whole students’ population during mealtime in the school dining hall or during games-day held in the field. In such a sample, there is potential to pick individuals from the same grade or more individuals of the same grade hence having bias opinions on the movie selected.
