I will improve my ability to engaging students in virtual learning by supporting them to in navigating the enhanced e-learning system and facilitating timely task completion and submission without delay (Butt, 2018). I will use my time to identify learners with difficulty in logging to the enhanced learning and help them get used to system components to increase efficiency within the first month.
Goal Statement (SMART Goal):
The learners with difficulty in using enhanced e-learning platform will be identified within one hour of starting lesson and taken through the system components under my supervision and guidance for the next one day (Butt, 2018). I envision to engage them in every class session as I seek to make them conversant with the system by giving them simple tasks to perform online and submit them to me via the portal within an hours interval or as per need basis. |
Rationale: Why was this goal chosen?
The online learning presented challenges to learners due to lack of face to face learning and the need to understand the enhanced platform used for facilitating continued learning while at home. This affected the ability of learners to get involved in learning activities during class hours and submit class assignments on time (Butt, 2018). |
Activity: Proposed Learning Activity
The learning activity support to access soft copy of learning materials online featuring alphabets, numbers, days of the week, months of the year, shapes and colors. Also making learners do online exercises on the areas.
Application: What will I do with the knowledge and skills I have learned to change instructional practice to meet student needs?
I will simplify the teaching guides uploaded online and integrate colors and sounds that are attractive to learners to enhance attendance and participation.
