Swimming provides a potential for individuals with MD to engage in active lifestyles. The activity is a recreational activity recommended for MD individuals because it is less demanding and does not overwhelm joints or muscles. The activity target arm, leg, chest and back muscles. The activity involves doing arm and leg moves in water, taking deep breath while the head is raised above the water, playing ball. In water. Breathing and stretching exercises may be incorporated into swimming to enhance respiratory muscles. The activity covers 2 sessions a week for 8 weeks. Each session is 30 minutes. A trained specialist is involved in guiding and watching the participant.
