Innovation and Sustainability
Introduction
Sustainability is a term which is used to define the process through which a country can meet the current needs of its people without compromising the fortune of future generations. In order to promote this concept, new methods have been put in place in order to promote the social wellbeing of a nation’s citizens.
Innovation and sustainability
According to QAG (2000), even as it is evident that sustainability has continued to hold a central position in any nation’s development strategies, the core sustainability among which lies the social, economic and environmental factors, new ventures have innovatively been integrated in the national development process in order to promote quality of life for human the sake of human kind. Basically, new technological initiatives have assumed the central lead in promoting sustainability and these have been employed both in the production as well as in the consumption habits that human beings have resolved to adapt in order to promote their wellbeing with the social realm.
From QAG’s, point of view, new production methods have been adapted and these have often included the trading of old production methods which have been perceived to be more expensive for more modern methods that have been perceived to scale down the level of resources input used. The coca cola company is one of the most innovative companies which have resolved to use raw materials that are less harmful to the environment thus reducing pollution.
Practical environmental approaches have been adopted in order to promote sustainability. According to QAG (2000), recycling and tree planting initiatives have been adopted in order to save the environment while seeking to reduce the concept of global warming. Furthermore, new consumption methods have been adopted in order to promote the utilization available natural resources. Basically, wind energy has been u seed in place of carbon emitting methods and this has reduced the harmful nature that fossil energy has on the environment. This method involves the utilization of natural wind to produce electricity and other useful forms of energy which in the long run reduced the utilization of harmful carbon generating fossil energy. Non-greenhouse initiatives have also been put in place in order to reduce the harmful gaseous emissions while promoting the utilization of harmless natural resources. Local green house language has also been adopted to promote the use of chemical free methods of energy production by use of natural resources. These green house programs have been utilized in order to adopt natural resources especially wind in order to produce useful chemical free resources which in the long run are bound to reduce environmental pollution.
As has been argued by QAG (2000), in order to promote global sustainability by use of innovative approaches, education programs should be put in place in order to equip the larger population on how to use recycling and tree planting methods to promote environmental conservation. Private sector involvement in sustainability efforts should be considered in that the private sector is bound to render a road as well as a bridge to construction and maintenance programs which promote sustainability. Private sector play a substantial role in competency training especially in areas that are related to national development by equipping employees with relevant knowledge required to perform certain roles in order to promote the organization’s profitability while reducing cost thus increasing the well being of the organization’s economy and the nation at large.
Conclusion
It can therefore be concluded that cost effective methods together with recycling and reuse approaches have been adopted in production method in order to promote sustainability while alternative methods have been employed in order to promote the utilization of natural resources while reducing the carbon and green house gas emissions caused by the use of fossil fuels.
