I am a young ambitious person aged just graduated from high school and enrolled for a bachelor’s degree. Among the courses am pursuing in the degree program in entrepreneurship. I live in Seattle together with my parents who are running restaurants within the city. I am a highly social and outgoing individual who likes taking a nature walk and making new friends. During my leisure time, I go for outings with friends especially in game reserves and site viewing. I have an interest in sharing gifts and presents with friends as well as attending business-oriented forums and discussions offered in physical or and online meetings. I am taking this course since it will deepen my understanding of entrepreneurship, theories of entrepreneurship, and how entrepreneurship emerges in individuals (Viinikainen, et al, 2017). The course will help me understand the difference between leadership, management, and entrepreneurship. Moreover, it will give me insights into the interaction between entrepreneurs, managers, and leaders.

The course will give me insights into the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs and the pitfall of any successful entrepreneur. I believe the course will also help me to understand the link between entrepreneurship and digital technologies. My most favorite entrepreneur is Oprah Winfrey. Oprah Winfrey was a victim of sexual assault in her childhood. She became pregnant at the age of 14 years even though she lost the child during birth. The tribulations and trauma of her earlier life developed her perspective about life-giving her great confidence that facilitated her get the opportunity in a TV show in 1983 (Hargrave, 2015). Since that time, she has grown her brand and business where she found Harpo Studios in 1988. In 2008, together with Discovery communication, she founded “OWN,” acronym for Oprah Winfrey Network, a media company that has millions of viewers. She is valued at $ 2.6 billion as of December 5, 2021 (Forbes, 2021). She is my favorite entrepreneur due to her resilience to rise above the traumatic childhood to become the most influential person in America and a successful business person.
