  1. What are your roles as a community healthcare provider?
  2. I provide a number of healthcare services to patient. These include performing diagnostic tests, giving treatment for various healthcare conditions, administering medications, providing preventive healthcare services, monitoring the condition of patients, educating patients on management of illness, and advocating for the wellbeing and health of patients.

  8. Chronic diseases (e.g., cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and obesity), injuries, and respiratory diseases (e.g. asthma and obstructive pulmonary), and infectious diseases (e.g. HIV/AIDS).
  9. What is the rate or prevalence of named conditions in the community you serve?
  10. We handle a lot of healthcare problem, and prevalence varies from one to another. There are also no official statistics on the same. We use the statistics provides by Harris County, and the State of Texas. For example, it is estimated that 65.9% of the residents of Texas are overweight, while 27.7% are obese. Lung cancer death rate in Texas is 38.4 per 100,000, while that of Harris County is 48.8%.
  11. What are the unmet health issues in the patient population you serve?
  12. The prevalence of chronic diseases is high in this community. They have not been addressed appropriately. Providing education on lifestyle changes can help to reduce their prevalence.
  13. What are some of the health promotion strategies and interventions that you employ to improve health outcomes of the community you serve?
  14. We use various strategies. These include creating community awareness of various health conditions, providing education on nutrition, and sensitizing community members on the importance of exercising.
  15. What kind of care is offered by your health center to community? (Primary care, prescriptions, emergency)
  16. Being one of the main healthcare centers around, the facility provides a wide variety of healthcare services. These include primary healthcare services, inpatient services, and emergency healthcare services.
  17. Do the community members value health promotion measures?
  18. Yes, but not all of them. There are gyms, sports grounds, and other facilities where people go to exercise in order to keep their fitness. However, it is unfortunate that some people, especially children, lead a sedentary life. they spend a lot of time playing computer games and watching television. When it comes to nutrition, it is only a few people who take a balanced diet. Otherwise, many live of fast foods such as chips and snacks. 
  19. Where do people go for healthcare and what is their experience like?
  20. Most people in the community go to healthcare facilities for healthcare services. However, some g for the services of traditional healers e.g., herbalists, and bone setters.
  21. What challenges and barriers to you face while providing care for the named community?
  22. We face a lot of challenges in the course of providing healthcare services to the locals. Some people around here have strong cultural beliefs that affect their health seeking behavior. For example, those who believe in diving healing and folk healing seek physicians only when all other remedies have failed. Some people do not have healthcare insurance cover. This makes it difficult for them to access healthcare services.
  23. How do the care services you provide to this community funded?
  24. Most of the healthcare services we provide are funded by the government. However, one is required to have a health insurance cover in order to access them. Those who are not insured have to pay from their pockets. 
  25. What happens to uninsured people needing healthcare?
  26. As I have sated, the people who are not insured have to pay for their healthcare services. This requirement makes it difficult for them to get the healthcare services they are in need of.
  27. Do you have programs to provide for those who cannot afford food?
  28. This community is located in a metropolitan area which is expensive. Food is expensive. For those who cannot afford food, there is free food provided though free pantries, food banks, and soup kitchens.
  29. How can you describe sleep and rest patterns of your community?
  30. This is a community of workers. Most people around here work in industries and construction companies. They sleep early in order to wake up early. However, students tend to sleet a bit late due to homework and assignments. Generally, most people in this community sleep for an average of 6 hours.
  31. How do community members feel about themselves?
  32. This is a community located in one of the largest cities of the United States.  The locals feel good about themselves. Many of them tend to be proud of their achievements in sports, education, careers, and other aspects.
  33. What do you think can be done to reduce the number of those going to jail as a result of drug and substance abuse?
  34. There is need to provide guidance and counseling services to the young people of the community since they are the most affected by alcohol and drugs. For extreme cases, rehabilitation can help to change their situations.
  35. Are there programs and activities related to strengthening the community?
  36. Yes.  We have several of them around here. These include team building activities, community projects, and training programs.
  37. Is the community safe to stay, work and play?
  38. The community is safe. Security guards are everywhere. The community also has security committees that handle security matters. If you go to educational institutions, most of them have gates that are locked and guarded.
